"We are, in a way, a whole Nation of inventors and explorers... We believe in technology and we are determined to pursue it in all its manifestations... I do believe that the 21st century can be a Golden Age for all Americans."

President William J. Clinton, 1995 National Medal of Technology Ceremony

To facilitate the process of technology transfer and commercialization, the Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration (EDA) and Bureau of Export Administration (BXA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) are sponsoring the first of six conferences designed to help small- and medium-sized businesses take advantage of emerging and existing technologies.
