| ComDef 2001, 16th in the series, addresses the issues of "Globalism,
Cooperation and Defense Transformation" relative to force structure,
operations, equipment, production, modernization, and inter-operability. At a
time of US commercial and military ascendancy and with new leadership and
priorities following the November elections, ComDef 2001 will consider the
options available and how the world can be made safer. Specifically addressing National Missile Defense and Relaxation in Arms Transfer Regulations, the conference will look into new threats to peace and relationships with nations of concern. Aging equipment inventories and the ability of industrial bases of friendly nations to modernize existing equipment will also be addressed. ComDef 2001 offers a glimpse into the future of defense at a key moment in history, and will provide opportunities for international networking with government, military, & industry leadership. |
