Every day more than $1.9 billion in goods and more than 300,000 people cross the US/Canadian border. Both countries have a critical stake in each other’s economies and physical security. They share borders of 3,145 miles on land and 2381 miles of water; and a challenging variance in terrain and climate.

ComDef Ottawa seeks to identify existing technologies which can be swiftly employed to enhance security across land and air whilst maintaining the flow of business. ComDef Ottawa follows the very successful ComDef Tucson in November 2006.

Technologies and techniques from the two nations and beyond will be examined and identified for incorporation into existing and planned programs.
